Int'l Food Fiesta: Food Galore!

By Sharon Chu

A special event waited for KEVII residents on the 17th of September 2007: our hall’s first International Food Fiesta (IFF)! Organized by the GH Block committee at the barbecue pit, the IFF was meant to give KEViians a golden opportunity to taste food flavours from various countries around the world. The party had quite a high turn over, despite the fact that it happened in the semi-darkness, with only candles and fluorescent lamps to light our food, and despite the fact that it was a paid event.

Clearly, the sushi station was the most popular, with people queuing up long lines to get their Japanese food. Patrons of the IFF also had the pleasure to watch various song performances by the KE band, which rocked the atmosphere till late into the night.

For being the first of its kind, the IFF turned out to be a major success. We would of course wish to see it repeated next year in all its lights and glory.
