A monkey and a cat have been visitors to our hall recently. E-block has been especially frequented by the monkey. The monkey was first spotted by Dhawal during the last semester when he was living in E2. The monkey scared him early in the morning soon after breakfast. It was sitting on the railings in front of his door.
The view from the higher levels of E Block must have attracted the monkey. The Hall management soon decided to set up a trap to catch the monkey. Till now, the monkey has eluded capture. It is probably hiding in the forest until it feels like visiting again.

“that damned monkey was in my face! look at it sedately eating the egg after venting all its aggression on me outside my door! what it needs is a good ol’ left hook to throw it off its perch - but stay away from the fangs - they’re pretty large and solid!”

“Yeah. At the expense of my breakfast... It didn’t matter that Nesa’s eggs had gone bad and Nesa gone to India..”.
Mr. Sam the turtle is the official nonhuman resident who stays in his pond outside the communal hall and seems to have blended well with its surrounding. Its inclusion in the Raymond’s rally speech has gotten Sam some fame.
More recently a black cat has been spotted roaming around the dining hall area and even till the level 8 of E Block. In fact there seems to be two cats with contrasting appearances; the black cat which resembles a panther cub and the other one is a Golden coloured cat, which looks cute and lovely.
Many would attribute the presence of those creatures to the location of our hall; or perhaps is it the residents who attract those curious beings? Whichever the case, let us enjoy their presence.
