The KE Community

Our Hall is made up of many individuals driven by passion.

Hall Admin

Hall Master
Our hall is administered by passionate members from the Senior Common Room Committee (SCRC), Residential Life and Office of Housing Services. The SCRC is led by the Hall Master and is assisted by both residential and non-residential fellows. They serve not only as advisors and mentors but also as guardians and friends to every KEVIIANS. They help to oversee all hall activities and ensure the well-being of each resident.
Residents can also find our warm and friendly staff who are in charge of day-to-day operations at the Hall Office. They take care of administrative matters and ensure that all facilities are well-maintained. They are the ones who keep our hall running in tip-top condition!

Year 2, Business and Global Studies
My past two years here in KE have been so much fun and excitement. It offered me the opportunity to try new things and sufficient resources to develop my new found passion, crafting achievements I am proud of. I only started playing tennis and softball in KE, both of which I enjoyed very much thanks to helpful seniors and empowering captains. Annually, we also play Inter-hall Games (IHG) which is one of my favourite seasons of the academic year, filled with adrenaline alongside all the other athletes from KE and other halls.
By year 2, I had the opportunity to take up the leadership role of JCRC Marketing Director to challenge myself and create a positive impact to this place I call my second home. KE has a place for everyone as long as you take the first step and you will find opportunities and support at every corner.

Inter-Hall Games (IHG)

Our athletes train hard over the year to prepare themselves for Inter-Hall Games (IHG), striving to bring glory to KEVII. They train hard and play hard together, forging camaraderie and long-lasting friendships in the process.

Hall Events

Ranging from block cohesions to hall wide activities, KEVIIans have plenty of occasions to form bonds and meet new people. Block suppers, KEVIIans Day, as well as Dinner and Dance are just some examples of events we participate in!

Freshmen Orientation Programmes

As part of NUSSU's Rag & Flag, KE Rag's annual vibrant performance attained the Silver award in 2024, while KE Flag strives to give back to the community by raising funds and engaging with our beneficiary. KEWOC (King Edward Welcoming Orientation Camp) and EC (Engagement Camp) assists the freshmen in their transition to hall life.

Serving The Community

There are opportunities for our residents to make a difference in our community, both local and abroad. Two Overseas Community Involvement Projects (OCIP) in Cambodia and Laos have been going on for over a decade. While we continue to raise funds for the overseas community in the current pandemic, we have also ramped up our efforts in the local community.

Our KEVIIANs also serve different communities annually through service events such as the annual Blood Donation Drive, Flag Beneficiary Engagement Day. In the 2024 Day of Service, our KE alumni joined our Resident Fellows and current residents in a tree planting event, where 100 trees were planted along Kent Ridge Road. We have also collaborated with different healthcare organisations like the Alzheimers's Disease Association and the National Cancer Institute of Singapore to raise awareness about the various conditions.

Join us for a meaningful and fun-filled Hall experience!
